“If I could say to America” is an interactive project designed site-specifically in the Summer of 2012 at Cité Internationale des Artes, an international artist residency in Paris. Devine recorded video monologues and arranged the results by country on a temporary website. The monologues, collected in the artist’s weekly open studios and in social situations, initiated from the question, “If you had two minutes to say anything to America, what would it be?”
